The difference was the water vapour.....i.e. warming.
So Krakatoa caused ocean cooling and Hunga Tonga caused heatwaves. I would be confused, but of course, I trust the science.
Excellent article, but the eruption has taken things in the wrong direction, cooling. So it is not "main stream science."

Ideal CO2 is 1000 ppm
Extinction level CO2 is 150 ppm
